BIRTHDAYS

We are happy to celebrate birthdays because they are so special. If you wish to bring in
treats and or favors, check with the teacher to see how many will be needed. Generally
we prefer something like cookies (no cakes or cup-cakes) for a treat, as they are not so
messy. If you wish to bring something else in, please check with the teacher to see if it
will be all right. For children with summer birthdays, check with the teachers, some
celebrate 1/2 birthdays, and some celebrate "unbirthdays". Party invitations may be sent
home through the school only if the entire class is invited. Birthday parties are typically
a big social event in a child's life. If you are not inviting the entire class, please mail the
invitation and do not hand them to parents or place in backpacks at school. A class roster
will be available for you to edit at open house. If you do not wish to be included in the
class roster, please let the teacher know.
